This morning I met a Burmese man (Singapore PR). He is a talkative man and I’m his patient listener whenever we meet. Today he was talking to me for more than 2 hours. I heard from him so many things (good and bad, interesting and boring, happy and unhappy etc.). Two pieces of sad news about two Burmese men in Singapore are shared here.
Man 1: He has left his poor family in Pakokku, upper Burma. He had been a low paid worker in Singapore for about last 50 months before he was unemployed. Now he is a job hunter. There are only 5 more days for him to stay in Singapore unless he is employed again.
Man 2: He is a Burmese Singaporean. He is very rich. He has many shops in Orchard, Singapore and in Beijing, China. He has been living a happy family life in Singapore. Now he has been diagnosed with liver cancer. There is 50% chance of survival for 5 more years if his liver transplant [WHICH IS TO BE OPERATED IF HE CAN PAY FOR THE COSTS RELATED) is successfully performed.
Who can help them?
